Sold out and hidden

Mark a dish sold out for tonight, or hide it from the menu without deleting it. One switch, changed from your phone.

A dish has one of three states. Available shows it as normal. Sold out keeps it on the menu with a "Sold out" mark, so guests know it exists but not tonight. Hidden takes it off the page until you bring it back.

Change the state

  1. Open Menu. On the Items tab, each dish has an Available switch. Turn it off and the dish is marked sold out.
  2. For hidden, open the dish and pick Hidden under Status.
  3. Save. Your page updates right away.

The switch in the list is the fast way. The editor has all three states.

Good to know

  • Sold out is for tonight. Hidden is for a season, a test or a dish you are not sure about.
  • Nothing is deleted. Turn the switch back on and the dish is back with its photo and price.
  • To hide a whole section, turn off the category instead of every dish in it.
  • Guests can choose to hide sold-out dishes on your page.
